Peninsula Baptist Church
Programs and Ministries - The Lifeblood of PBC
Small Groups

Small, cozy Bible studies are central to PBC Life. There are currently five groups that meet all over town at various members' homes - Call us to join one near you today!

Backpacks For Humanity

In conjunction with Peninsula Communities of Faith, PBC is one of the churches that collects and stores backpacks and food for children and their families which are sent to various schools in Gig Harbor. Most of the public schools in Gig Harbor have benefitted from this wonderful program. For more information on how you can help out, call PBC member Wayne Lopez, Outeach Deacon, or click here: Help Out With Backpacks For Humanity!

Homeless Breakfast

PBC works once a month to bring a breakfast for the homeless at the Tacoma Shelter. PBC is the storage location for food as well.

Missionaries Abroad

Gary and Mylinda Baits are serving the Lord in Costa Rica, and Lary and Kathy Arnold in the Dominican Republic and others continue to share their stories and triumphs, which are published in our weekly church bulletin.

Everyone enjoys Social Time at PBC after the service.

Kids Program

Just as Jesus welcomed the little children to Him, PBC loves kids and looks forward to a growing ministry for youth in the Gig Harbor area. Right now we have a wonderful kids' program (school age) featuring arts and crafts programs during the 10a.m. service, as well as care for toddlers and preschoolers at that time as well. We are very interested in new members who would like to make their church home at PBC and also lend their talents in this area to serve Christ's children. We are also striving to develop a Teens Program and volunteers in this area are welcome.

Music is an important part of PBC.

Turkey Brigade
This is the time of year that businesses and corporations get together to bring Thanksgiving dinners to the tables of families who are challenged during hard economic times. Albertson's (on Pearl St.) is collaborating with Key Peninsula Lutheran Church to provide these dinners. All we have to do is help distribute brochures for this opportunity to donate to the program in the form of Turkey Bucks. Collection runs from Oct. 29 to the day before Thanksgiving. If you would like to help, please call Wally Haugaard at (253) 312-3761 or KPLC at (253) 884-3312.
